Why can EIFS be a problem?

Deficient caulk joints
Lack of caulk joints
Improper or lack of diverters
Improper abutment to dissimilar materials
Damaged surfaces
Other factors
Is an EIFS problem repairable?
Most times yes. Many homes require minimal repairs or maintenance. Some homes have required complete removal of the EIFS.
Be informed!
Hire a trained professional to inspect your EIFS. No siding material is maintenance free. EIFS is no different and will require maintenance and periodic repairs.
